General FAQs

  • This consultation will give us the chance to get to know each other and for you to share your reasons for seeking therapy. It also gives you an opportunity to ask as many questions as you’d like so I can clarify and address any concerns you may have. If you feel ready to take the next step, we would then book your intake appointment.

  • Our initial session will give you the space to explain your concerns on a more detailed level. This will allow us the opportunity to understand what your needs are and how I can help exceed your expectations and meet your goals for therapy. Therapy is a collaborative process and a journey of self-discovery. As your therapist, we will guide and support you through the process. We will bring things to your awareness and encourage you to take steps to lead you to your goals. It is a process that takes time and practice. We’re excited to work with clients who are ready to take action and view therapy as a vehicle to get them to their destination.

  • Consistency is an essential part to creating change. It is highly recommended to attend sessions weekly for best results. After progress has been made it is possible to reduce the frequency of therapy until you and your therapist feel you are ready to end therapy.

  • Absolutely. Therapy is required by law to be confidential. However for your own safety, there are three exceptions:

    • If you state you plan to harm yourself.

    • If you state you plan to harm others.

    • If there is suspicion of abuse of a child or a vulnerable adult.

  • We currently only see families who live in Florida virtually via a secure platform.

Virtual Sessions FAQs

  • Since these sessions are focused on empowering the parent with knowledge of behavioral concepts, your child’s tendency to be easily distracted can be a helpful situation to be coached on during sessions. This can be helpful for your leaning process in understanding how to better manage your child’s distraction, teach them how to better focus, and learn ways to set them up for success to help prevent distraction. In a nutshell, your child being easily distracted can be a good thing for this type of therapy and can actually lend itself to a great learning opportunity for you!

  • Research has shown that virtual PCIT and PCIT adapted for anxiety concerns is just as effective as in-person. The added benefit of a virtual format for parent training is that the family is being coached in their home environment where these problem behaviors occur naturally. This allows families gain insight on how to use skills taught in a a more realistic environment which lends itself to a better learning experience for caregivers.

  • • It’s convenient and flexible.

    • Your therapist can better understand your home environment and provide more helpful feedback.

    • More real-life coaching opportunities! For example, coaching during homework practice, routines, mealtime issues, public behaviors etc..

Fees FAQs

  • • 1 caregiver for a 45 minute session is $150.

    • 1 caregiver for a 60 minute session is $170.

    •First Intake session is 60 mins. 1 caregiver participating is $170 and 2 caregivers is $200.

    • 2 caregivers participating in a session is $200 for 60 minutes. Each caregiver participating in session is coached individually with their child. This allows the opportunity for each parent to learn, practice, and strengthen their own skills.

  • We do not accept insurance at this time.
